Electrolysis remains the only permanent Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recognized hair removal method since 1875. For over 100 years, electrolysis has proven to be safe for all hair colors, skin types, locations. Moreover, electrolysis is especially effective in treating blonde and coarse gray hairs.
No other hair removal method boasts comparable efficacy or success. More importantly, at A Nurses Touch, we have custom-made electrolysis machines that arrived less than 2 years ago! These state-of-the-art machines work faster, more effectively, and are more comfortable for clients than our previous machines.
With A Nurses Touch Spa, your comfort and satisfaction are always priorities.
Electrolysis is a new advanced permanent hair removal treatment performed by directing light electrical currents into a hair follicle's natural opening. To accomplish this, we utilize a fine probe. This process causes cellular destruction that makes hair unable to grow.
Electrolysis is safe and effective on all skin and hair types. The amount of treatments needed depends on several variables, like hair thickness, hormone imbalances, age, previous methods of hair removal, and more.
A critical factor in efficacy is a client’s commitment to complete the required cycles. Still, once you have completed the cycle, the follicles will be gone permanently!
Treatable areas
FACE - CHIN- NECK- SIDE BURNS - CHEST - EYEBROWS - FOREHEAD - UNDER ARMS - EARS - FEET - STOMACH - BIKINI - BACK - ARMS -LEGS

ELECTROLYSIS IS THE ONLY HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENT ON THE MARKET THAT IS ACTUALLY PERMANENT. ACCORDING TO THE (FDA) FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION LASER HAIR REMOVAL CAN NOT LEGALLY ADVERTISE AS PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL.

Yes but slowly. All Dermatologist recommend Electrolysis because it works every time on every once. It is safe and effective on all skin types and locations but it does require a commitment.
To start to understand better lets begin by talking about hair growth. Hair grows from follicles in 4 stages and then the hair falls out naturally. Electrolysis only work in the first, second and part of the 3rd stage of hair growth and it is ineffective in last stage and there is no way to tell the difference between the hair stages. Clients need to commit to regular treatments once a week to every other week in the beginning in order to catch the hair in the correct cycle. Clients who come in sporadically and only once a month do not see as good of results as clients that come in regularly.
There are many factors that effect the speed of the results. The 1st is staying on a regular treatment plan that slowly reduces the size of the hair until its gone for ever. The 2nd is how thick the hair is, thicker hair takes longer to remove then thin hair. Remember. The third is any hormone imbalances you have can slow down the process for some people. Just remember that the results are PERMANENT and there is no other hair removal option that can offer permanent results. The repetitive time and financial commitment is similar to Waxing except there is less and less hair left to treat each time and you eventually wont have any hair left! The average client will receive several sessions lasting from 15 min to one hour, depending upon the area that needs to be treated. Clients get to create their own treatment plans based on time and finances available.
HOW LONG A TREATMENT TAKES IS ALL BASED ON HOW MUCH HAIR YOU HAVE.
YOUR APPOINTMENT TIMES DECEASES SLOWLY AS THE HAIR STARTS TO DISAPPEAR MAKING YOUR TREATMENTS CHEAPER AND CHEAPER AS YOU GO. IT IS ROUGHLY AROUND 38 TO 68 % REDUCTION IN HAIR THICKNESS EACH TIME IT IS TREATED, UNTIL IT DISAPPEARS.
For example, a small amount of fine lip hair would take much less time and fewer treatments than it would take to underarms. The secret to successful and productive electrolysis is catching each hair in the proper growth cycle and treating it during the optimum growing state. Typically, appointments are scheduled weekly or every other week at first for the first few sessions the you may come in once a month to get a small amount.
Generally, depending on the area and thickness most hair can be cleared in few months or more. Some underarms and removing a beard may take more than a few months but it gets cheaper as you go and the appointments get farther apart as the hair decreases. Because there are 4 different growing cycles, some hair remains hidden at any given time, and it may take several months for most areas. The number of total treatments will vary from area to area and person to person.
Here are several very important reasons why not to use lasers.
Number one reason is that Lasers are not permanent according to the food & administration (FDA) it can only legally advertise as a reduction not a removal. Lasers are not safe on all skin types and even on the ideal skin type for that laser can still cause permanent burns and discolorations. (just google image laser burns after hair removal I have also seen them on my clients) Lasers can also be very painful and expensive especially when the hair keeps returning. It is also common for lasers to only remove the melanin out of the hair and not the hair it self leaving you looking more aged with white hairs that later return.
Immediately after the treatment the skin may be slightly red. Most clients have this go away before they even leave the appointment. The hair is plucked out after the hair is treated with electrolysis, so do not put make_up on the area for around 5 hours if possible. Make up can go into the skin and cause irritation.
You will never regrow the exact same hair back but very slowly your body can grow a new and completely different unwanted follicle over time. Hormone changes are usually to blame for this. Hormone changes cause the normal facial and body hair to turn into dark and course hairs we do not want. Hormones usually get worse with age, menopause, pregnancy and PCOS. But these hormone changes are usually slow some clients take decades to see. If you have hormone imbalances you may have to come by every year or so to treat a few hairs that come up. Its better to treat them when the are very small and light so they can go away quickly. We recommend our clients take photos in the beginning and periodically so you can see the results of electrolysis and keep an eye on any new hair that may have grown in a different area a year or more later.

Electrolysis is very well studied and is safe for all skin types, and it very effective. Since it has been around so long your grandma may have even heard of Electrolysis. It important to understand that since it has been around so long, there is a lot of businesses are using what we call, old dinosaur machines. They are still selling the same old machines that were used over 40 years ago that come from china. These large old machine can be uncomfortable and I have even heard from some people have even experienced a get a metallic taste in their mouth from the old machines. The out dated machines have thick hard probes that have to be disinfected between clients, which can make them more of a risk for cross contamination between clients. Here at a Nurses touch, we e only use disposable one time use probes which is safer for all clients. Our machines also utilities a blend of thermolysis and electrolysis which gives you the best results for all types of hair and locations. Your safety and comfort is extremely important to us. Our machine has many setting that can be adjusted to fit your sensitivity. If a client happens to have a sensitive area, we also have medical grade numbing cream that can be applied to an area if needed. Most clients state it feels like more of a vibration and are commonly surprised on how comfortable the treatment is. Some clients can even fall asleep during procedure after they get use to it.
Same price point and initial regular visits as Waxing, But Electrolysis is truly permanent! Please be willing to commit to a treatment plan by coming in every week to every other week in the beginning in order to catch the hair in the right growth cycle. The duration of treatment varies on may factors but once completed you will NOT have worry about the same hair regrowing again! As your treatments continue and your hair starts to disappear your time gets shorter and shorter making it cheaper as you go. Teenagers welcome with parents present.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal condition that affects many of our clients. Up to 50% of women with this condition go undiagnosed. PCOS is a hormone imbalance on the ovary's that is caused by cyst. This produces irregular hormones that affects a women's mensural cycle, infertility, weight gain, acne, skin problems & unwanted hair growth. Hirsutism, a term for excess hair growth in women, is common with the condition.
Electrolysis is the only type of hair removal approved by the FDA as a permanent way of removing hair. Thousands of women with PCOS utilize electrolysis to permanently get rid of thick hair that often grows on their face, neck, chest, and back. Laser is not legally permanent and some lasers can actually stimulate some hormone sensitive follicles.
