At a Nurses Touch, we offer many different types of Brows.

Custom-Created Dream Brows

At our studio, we work closely with clients to design their perfect brows, paying attention to each individual hair. Our offerings include powder brows, ombre brows, microblading, and our unique infinity brows—a combination of techniques.

Before finalizing your look, we map out the brows for your approval, ensuring you're completely satisfied. You’ll have the opportunity to request any additions or adjustments at the end of your appointment. We also use a highly effective medical-grade numbing cream, which enhances comfort as we work.

Award-Winning Brow Services at A Nurses Touch Spa

At A Nurses Touch, we conduct all procedures in a clean, safe environment using medical-grade topical anesthetics for maximum comfort. Our thorough post-care instructions and home care supplies ensure lasting results.

We specialize in modern, natural-looking permanent brows, utilizing techniques such as Powder Brow, Ombre Brow, and Nano Strokes—which mimic microblading but last much longer. Unlike traditional bold lines, our methods create soft, textured brows.

Permanent brows can last 3-4 years or more. Powder Brows resemble a makeup pencil, while Ombre Brows offer a soft fade. The Infinity Brow combines hair strokes with powder for a smooth, consistent look using either microblading or permanent hair strokes.

These techniques are ideal for clients over 65, those with fair or oily skin, or anyone looking to cover existing work. Healing and ink retention vary by individual, allowing us to adjust techniques during the 6-week touch-up if necessary. No need to choose your technique when booking; all options are the same price.

What is Microblading

Understanding Microblading vs. Permanent Brow Techniques

Microblading is a technique that involves using a hand tool to create fine scratches in the skin and adding ink. While it can achieve a natural look, microblading often requires more touch-ups and may only last around four months for some skin types.

Many online photos of microblading show results before the brows have fully healed, which can lead to misconceptions. Not all clients heal well with microblading, particularly those with oily skin, older skin, or skin prone to redness.

For a more reliable outcome across various skin types, consider permanent Powder Brows or Infinity Brows. These techniques offer beautiful, smooth results and can last up to three times longer than microblading, making them ideal for long-lasting enhancements.

What to Expect & Additional Questions
All Of Our Clients Pick Their Own Measurements, Shape & Texture Of Their Brows. Everyone Is Different And One Brow Does Not Fit All, All Aspects Of Your Brow Will Be Picked And Designed By You.

  • *  Numbing cream will be applied in the beginning and will be reapplied between the brow applications. You will pick out the shape and color for your new brows.
       *   The time for your 1st  brow treatment regardless of the technique you pick is 2 hours, but not to worry the actual procedure is only about 15 minutes of the whole appointment and is done in 4 phases.
        *  The most important part is Brow mapping; when precise measurements are taken to show the location of where a correct symmetrical brow should be. From there I will work with you to find your perfect shape that appeals to you and your facial features.
        *   The New Brows are then drawn on your face with a pencil for your approval before any Permanent makeup is done. You will also have an opportunity to view and make any changes you would right before you leave.
****   Microblading and Permanent brows are a minimum 2-part procedure, the 2nd visit is designed to add more detail, smooth out the brow, and do any coloration & shape changes that may have been effected during the first healing process. Please be willing to commit to the 2 parts of the process before deciding to undergo the procedure ****.

  •  The brows need to be treated as a wound without a band-aid on them. The brows will go through a healing process and will initially swell after the procedure and may be itchy when healing. The initial color will darken after the procedure around 45%. We call this the shape phase as it is too dark and crisp-looking for 2 to 3 days. The body and healing response are different for each person. The body will not heal perfectly after the 1st appointment which is why the 2nd appointment is need to make adjustments. During the 2nd appointment, the ink usually sticks even better since it goes in a lower level of the skin and the color and some shape changes can be made at that time as well. I usually recommend starting with a modest shape in the beginning and you can always go bigger later. The microblading & permanent brow healing process and color uptake is different for every patient. The ink application process is only part of the process; How the body heals and metabolizes the ink greatly affects the outcome and final look. Though uncommon some clients may require additional color boosters to achieve the desired look. The shape, density of the color, and texture can also be added to during any touch-ups.

  • All our pigments are cosmetic grade, meaning that they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. The ingredients used have been approved by the FDA for cosmetic use. In addition, all our tools are single-use and discarded after the treatment. Only the highest sanitation standards are utilized during the application of the brow. As a Nurse with over 9 years experience, I can tell you I value the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

  • The biggest variable on how you will turn out is how you will heal.  The skin's response to the ink that is implanted in the largest factor that affects the longevity of the brow. There is no way to know in advance to know how your body will react. The body metabolizes the ink and spreads it on the skin. Though very rare, some clients are overly aggressive healers and the body will not hold the ink as desired.  Permanent Brow styles can last some people up to 3 years. But typically you last longer and longer with each touch-up. One of the options if you do not hold Microblading well after the 2nd touch-up is to switch to our Permanent brow styles which are more consistent and last longer.

Correcting & Covering Previous WorkMost can be covered and reshaped by the new powder brows. Some brows may require our magnetic tattoo lightening / tattoo removal on part or all the brow before it is covered.

Correcting Microblading or Permanent Brows

Correcting microblading and permanent brows is our specialty, with nearly one-third of our clients seeking to fix older, poorly done work. It's unfortunate how many individuals have had negative experiences with inadequately trained local artists, especially in an unregulated market like Texas. Some artist even undergo online-only training without ever working on a real person, leading to subpar results.

Fortunately, we have achieved outstanding results in correcting and balancing poorly executed microblading and permanent brows. If you're considering a correction appointment, please send us a picture of your brows first to assess the situation before booking.

  • Yes, we can more than likely help you. We have special ink that is tattooed back into the skin to help adjust the previous color back to a more natural color. One of the reasons your tattoo from a previous artist turned such an unnatural color is because a lot older or cheap brands of ink have Iron which changes color as it ages. Our ink is of the highest quality and over time it will only lighten and possibly lose some warmth if never touched up but, they will never change unnatural colors such as purple, blue, or green colors. There is never a guarantee on the results or the number of correction appointments needed because the type and depth of ink that is previously in the skin is unpredictable but we have had great success improving and recreating these brows with clients. A color corrector will be applied at the initial appointment and the brow will be reshaped and designed by you and you will also pick a color of choice you want to be applied.

  • It is common for us to do cover-ups and corrections on brows down at another location. Many times brows come to use that are uneven. We can apply a balanced brow in the color of choice of our clients. Camouflage ink is what we can do for any unwanted ink left behind in a small area. We can try to match your skin color to cover a smaller unwanted area up. There is a small chance that up close it may be slightly noticeable; But all of our clients have been so happy to quickly be able to cover up a area that had been bothering them.

We do charge an additional $50 during your brow appointment to cover the additional needle and ink to do this.

Important Safety Information for Permanent Makeup in Texas

Please be cautious: Texas only requires a tattoo license to perform permanent makeup, which can lead to a significant number of practitioners lacking necessary medical training or experience. The microblading and permanent makeup industry is largely unregulated, with no established training requirements, definitions of techniques, or standards for aftercare.

Additionally, many online artists offer training without hands-on experience, and it's common for images online to be heavily photoshopped or misleading. To avoid becoming another unfortunate case of botched work, it's crucial to thoroughly research any artist and the location where the procedure will take place. Don't take unnecessary risks with your face—ensure you choose a qualified, experienced professional for your permanent makeup needs.
